About Me

As much as I would like to both claim and truly believe that I have it together, have all the answers and can get it all done, unfortunately this simply is not true.  If it were the case I wouldn't continually be searching for better cleaning tips, faster ways to prepare meals, less expensive activities to do with the children and any other great ideas that are out there.  In other words, I wouldn't spend my evenings on pinterest!

I am the mother of a 6 and 3 year old, wife of nine years, 5th grade teacher, cook, housekeeper, chauffeur, party planner, personal shopper, doctor, nurse, psychologist, and graduate student to name just a few of this week's responsibilities.  I've decided to add blogger to this list as an outlet to share ideas, and well...blog.  I guess I also feel that as my graduate program is coming to an end, I'm going to need something new and exciting to take its place.  As tempting as it is to enroll in another program, I think it's time for a break from formal classroom learning and time to take on more of the informal experiential learning.

I love gardening, and need to find the time to do more of it.  I think crock pots rock, but really should use them more often.  I totally believe in organization but should probably spend some more time doing it.  Does blogging make one accountable?  Let's hope.  One thing that I have learned in life is that one's expectations for themselves often times vary  exponentially from other's expectations of them.  Some people think I spend too much time in my gardens, the family believes dinner is on the table in plenty of time, and some friends even find my closets to be very organized.  I guess life is relative.  Well, here is to a new experience and the opportunity to share what I know and learn what I don't.
